Christmas Day

Christmas was awesome considering Christmas Eve was a nightmare! We stayed up wrapping presents or shall I say Chad wrapped all the presents,LOL till midnight. Then around that same time Peyton woke up screaming which she has never done since she was a newborn and had a blowout. I changed her put her back in bed and just prayed she would go back to sleep which SHE DID:) It wasn't even an hour later that Luke woke up crying and wouldn't go back to bed so I put him in our bed. The only problem with that is that Luke isn't the type of kid who likes to sleep with mommy and daddy. So he was up all night which meant I was up all night. Peyton and Lexi woke up around 6:30 I think so then Luke of course who had finally fallen asleep sometime around 5 I think woke up as well and we all went down to open presents. The kids had a blast and since they are a little older now it was really fun to see the difference. Around 10 we started to get ready to head over to the Chateau on the Lake Resort for a lovely and yummy brunch. Later that night we had some friends over for Christmas dinner and to play games. It was a wonderful Christmas and the only thing missing was getting to spend it with my family in AZ.

I've been so bad lately at updating this blog and so much has happened. Peyton turned 9 months on December 17th. It's crazy how time just flies by. She's been crawling for awhile now and has been eating baby food since about 7 months. She got weighed last week and was 16lbs 14oz. Lexi is enjoying preschool and just saw the Nutcracker for the first time last night. Luke is just busy being a playful little boy oh and he is completely potty trained! Chad is doing great and loving his job and serving as 1st counslor in the Elder's Quorum Presidency. Life is good:)

On May 7th 2010 I took the kids to get their pictures taken with Peyton. The pics turned out so good and the kids were actually really good when getting their pictures done. The light was hurting Lexi's eyes that's why her eyes look a little red and watery. The only thing I wish was that the pictures of all 3 of them together turned out better. It seems like one of the 3 were always looking a different direction or doing something else so the picture of all 3 that I posted was the one that turned out the best. Anyways, I have more pics to purchase but these are the ones I got so far. Enjoy :)

Memorial Day

We didn't do much for Memorial Day because as always Chad has to work and with the baby being so young still I didn't want to have her out in the hot sun. I wanted to get out of the house though so we decided to take a ride to Chad's work and have lunch. After having lunch at the hotel I took the kids to Target and I bought Toy Story 2 for them. I bought Toy Story 1 about a month ago and needed to buy the second one so they could know what was going on when we go see the 3rd coming out soon. They are watching it loving it as i'm writing this. All in all it was a pretty laid back but still fun day.

Luke turned 2 April 7th so we celebrated with going to the Dr. for his 2 year checkup. Then we went to Lamberts "YUM" for dinner and headed home for cake and presents. He was so excited. He was smiling so big while we sang Happy Birthday to him it was so adorable. We are so happy to have Luke. He is the sweetest boy and brings so much joy to our family. Happy Birthday to my sweet boy.

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter. We started the morning out by the kids spotting their Easter baskets on the kitchen table going crazy with excitement. We then had an Easter egg hunt which they also loved. After the Easter Egg Hund we went to my husband's work Chateau on the Lake for a fabulous brunch. The best part of Easter was having my mom here to spend it with us. She leaves in a couple of days and we are going to miss her dearly.

On Wednesday March 17th our lovely Peyton was born. She weighed 7lbs 8oz and was 19 inches long. She is such a good baby and we are so happy to be a family of 5 now. I just got back home from the hospital today and couldn't be happier to be home. Here are some pics of our beautiful Peyton.

We finally took the kids to go get their picture taken with Santa. We were surprised when Luke freaked out because when he saw Santa on the Polar Express he never cried and was so happy. I still can't believe my daughter is old enough to be in preschool. Yesterday was her first day back to preschool since we have been in AZ visiting and I checked her cubby to find that her school pics had come in. I was so excited! She looks so grown up and is so happy to go to preschool. I love her preschool and am so glad I decided to sign her up. I was so nervous in the beginning but now I know I made the right choice.

Yesterday I had an ultrasound and we are having a GIRL! We are so excited. Chad thought we were having another boy and he is normally right so he was pretty shocked to find out we were having a girl. I get my 20 week ultrasound in a couple of weeks when I get back from AZ but I wanted to let everyone in my family know what I was having before we came to AZ. I will post ultrasound pics when I get my 20 week ultrasound because the pic I got isn't very good so stay tuned.

New Due Date

So I had to go see a Perinatal Doctor yesterday and it looks like instead of February 27th being my due date my new due date is March 24th. The Dr. I go to thought the baby looked small since my first appointment. He said that the baby looked to be 2 weeks smaller than what I was going by my last period but since my periods are irregular I must have ovulated late, really late. I was pretty bummed bacause I was thinking I was 18 weeks pregnant and to find out i'm only 15 weeks is crazy. It also explains why i'm so sick still. I was also bummed because I was excited to find out what we are having and now I have to wait.

For those of you who haven't heard I just found out a couple of days ago that i'm pregnant. I'm still in shock since we weren't planning on conceiving till sometime next year. We are very excited though. A baby always brings so much joy and happiness into the home. I know it will be challenging but I think having 1, 2 or how ever many you have is a challenge well maybe challenge isn't the best word but what i'm trying to say is that kids are a lot of work but they also bring something so unique and special into your life. Anyways, I think I will be due either the end of February or beginning of March. Wish me luck. I'm going to need it.

Today was my little girls birthday and I can't believe she turned 3! I don't know where the time goes. Sometimes it feels like she was born just yesterday and sometimes it feels like she's been here forever. We love her so much and she brings so much joy to our family. She was born at 33 weeks and 4 days old weighing a wopping 3lbs 3.9 ounces. She is such a miracle. Besides arriving so early she has been in picture perfect health with the exception of only being sick one day in her life. When I think about all the bad things that can happen to premies I feel so blessed that she has had her health. She is the sweetest little girl anyone will ever meet although now that we are in the terrible 3's which are different than the terrible 2's you couldn't ask for a better child. Anyone that has been around her can witness to that. I love you Lexi and am so glad you chose me to be your mother. We started her birthday yesterday with a friend party at Chuckie Cheese. Today we went to Church and than celebrated the rest of her birthday going on rides and go karts. My mom flew into town to spend Lexi's birthday with us which has been awesome. Eventful day and a HIT AND RUN!

Today was Chad's day off so we decided to take the kids to the dinosaur museum. It was a nice museum but it is attached to a haunted house so while we were walking trying to tell the kids about the dinosaurs we were looking at a big loud bang or noise would hit and the kids would jump. This museum was very different from the one i'm use to going to in AZ. They built all the dinosaurs so they would resemble their natural size and the way they looked when they were alive. It was really neat. They also had a place for the kids to dig up fossels and a huge bouncy thing for the kids to jump in. After we went to the Dino Museum we went to the Grand Country Buffet just because we had not ate there before and wanted to try out a new restaurant. The food was pretty good for the most part. We headed home because we had to be there for the pest control guy to come and spray our house and since I live in the country now I wasn't about to miss that appointment. Anyways, I went to go get a pedicure while Chad stayed here to put the kids down for their naps and wait for the pest control guy. So I get home and the girl who lives across the street to whom we pay our rent to called and said someone wrecked your car! I was like WHAT and a few other choice words. So we go look what happend and Chad's car was wrecked. He parks his car in front of the house and by the look of the damage someone with a truck clearly backed into his car. So immediately I know who did it. The pest control guy had parked his TRUCK in the driveway of the girl who lives across the street. She called him and he played dumb and was clearly nervous. We called the cops and took photos and the cops just said they will investigate and get back to us. In the meantime the pest control guy is telling the cops and the girl who lives across the street a different story. Clearly he is trying to cover up what he did. I just hope he comes clean and that the cops prove he did it so the money doesn't come out of our pocket. I took a lot of pics from our eventful day sorry so dark. I only had my cell phone to take the pics with.

Father's Day

I don't think fathers are recognized as much as they should be on Father's Day. I don't write about Chad very often but those of you who know him know I'm the luckiest girl out there. He is the best father and husband anyone could ask for. I don't know why Heavenly Father has blessed me with such a great husband. Besides working hard he gets up every morning with the kids so I can get a little more sleep and have a little more time to myself. He bathes his kids and gets them dressed and fed before I even get up. He never yells or gets angry. Sometimes I wander if he's human because I have such a bad temper and he puts up with a lot from me. One time I even asked him Don't you ever yell or want to get really angry? Anyways, I married not only the best man out there for me but a man who would be the best father and perfect example to my children. Chad I love you and hope this is a great father's day for you even though you have to work. We love you so much. Thanks for everything you do. Thank you for being a great father to our children. I love you!

Growing Up So Fast

I decided once we moved to Branson that that is when I would start to potty train Lexi since I wouldn't have anything else to do and it would keep me busy. So we started almost 3 weeks ago and she is doing great. She is fully potty trained durning the day but we are having some trouble with the nighttime. She is a very deep sleeper and I guess it is commen for them to have night time accidents. Anyways, I was against pull ups but finally decided that I was sick of washing her bedding everyday so I went and picked some up just for the nightime. Anyways, she has been doing so well that I decided I was going to surprise her with a Disney Princess toddler bed. I thought it was time to move her into a big girl bed since she is almost 3, plus Luke's crib got destroyed in the move and instead of buying him a new one I figured he could just use Lexi's. So I was just going to get her a twin bed that matched her dresser but I thought I would save the $700 plus dollars plus the cost of bedding and just go with the toddler bed so here are some cute pics of her and her new bed.

Long Overdue

As many of you know we recently moved to Branson,Missouri. Chad received a wonderful job offer as Executive Sous Chef at a resort called Chateau on the Lake. It couldn't have come at a better time. We had been praying that he would receive a better job opportunity because of the way the economy had taken a plunge, especially in his job field. Anyways, everything is going great. The weather here is very humid and there is a lot of bugs which I'm not going to lie scare me. I'm not particularly found of bugs. It is really beautiful so I can't complain. I'm just so happy to be with Chad again and finally be settled in our new home. I posted some pics of the kids with the Easter Bunny and Luke's first birthday pic. I can't believe his first birthday came and went and now he is almost 14 months old.

I am so thankful for the LDS church. I honestly can say I know where and what I would be doing without this church and it wouldn't be good. There has been a lot of controversy about the show BIG LOVE and I thought I would share a great YOU TUBE VIDEO of why the LDS church builds temples. I saw this video on a friends blog and thought I would pass it along to get the word out. I am inspired by our faith and the great members of our church. I feel so blessed to be a part of this church and am so glad heavenly father had so much faith in me and never gave up on me even through all of my bad decisions. Wildlife Zoo and Aquarium

Yesterday we decided to go to the Wildlife Zoo and Aquarium. I have been wanting to take the kids since I got a coupon in the Savvy Shopper. It is pretty far away so I've been putting off taking the kids but at the last minute we decided to go. The kids had a great time. They had so much fun petting sting rays,sea urchins, and starfish. They got to see an assortment of sea life and zoo animals. This zoo is pretty neat because they are dedicated to rescuing animals and releasing them back into their habitat. I was really impressed with how clean the zoo was and how friendly the staff was. I also enjoyed seeing many animals and sea life that we normally don't get to see here in AZ. I took some pics with my cell phone because once again we forgot the camera so a lot of the pics aren't that great I apologize.

9 Months Old

This cute little monster is 9 months old and getting so big. Some of the things he has been doing since 6 months old is crawl, pull himself up to stand, walks the furniture, and has been balancing himself in mid air. He is very close to walking we will see what happens. I hate when they first start walking it is so scary. Anyways, I took Lucas to the Dr. Today for his 9 month checkup and these are his stats

Today we went to the mall to get the kids Christmas pictures taken and to take them to see Santa. We also like to do the Christmas Angel every year as a way to give back. So we had a bunch of things to get done today. As we were waiting in line to see Santa, which I might add we never got to see this lady told us he would only be there for a half an hour more and than he was going to take a break. She said that they cut the line off at the register and everyone else would have to leave no matter how long they had waited. We decided not to chance it so we left and went to go get something to eat. We would have gone back to see him but both kids fell asleep. After being at the mall which seemed forever we still had to go buy our Christmas Tree. Lexi was so excited! I only got a few pictures of our fun filled day. Hope you enjoy.

I'll have to admit I was one of the sceptics not wanting to read the Twilight Series written by Stephanie Meyer. I decided 4 days ago I would pick up the first of four books and see what all the hype was about. Can I just say WOW I'm HOOKED! I read the first two books in three days and just picked up the third book this morning at Barnes and Noble. I went with my friend Holly from my ward with her and her mother and sister. I loved the movie so much. I knew from previous books I had read that the movie was going to be a little different than the book itself. It was still amazing though. I am so obsessed with this love story. I feel so stupid but hey it gives me something to be excited about and look forward to. I'm so glad I finally decided to read these books. I think I'm going to have to go see the movie a million more times NOT EXAGGERATING and then by it on DVD and watch a million more time. Anyways, I can't wait to see what happens in the third book. Wish me luck!

A Fun Day at the Park

Today Veronica and I took the kids to the park. It is the best park in my opinion for our kids age. It is located between Val Vista and Lindsey on 32nd street just south of southern. Anyways, Lexi was being quite daring and decided to go down the big slide head first on her tummy. I thought she was fine till she started crying. She had sand everywhere. Up her nose in her eyes in her mouth in her hair EVERYWHERE. The pic doesn't show how bad it was. It was taken after I had tried rinsing her face off in the fountain. Anyways, the kids had a wonderful time as always. Lexi also tried tying Claire's shoe. SO CUTE!

Halloween 2008

We started Halloween off this year by attending my good friend Stephanie's dad's Halloween party which was so much fun. Then on Halloween day we went to Mother Nature's Farm to get our pumpkins to carve. We then headed off to my parent's ward party which was so much fun. Lucas won best animal costume. He looked so cute in his lion costume. Then we headed home to pass out candy and take the kids trick or treating. We ran out of candy and Lexi was so funny she started to give the kids her Halloween candy. I had to tell her no thats your candy. All in all we had a great Halloween even though we didn't get dressed up like we normally do and decorate our house. I was just too lazy this year and wanted to have a relaxing Halloween.

Our Fun Trip to Disneyland

We went to Disneyland for October Break. My sister and her family were suppose to go but decided not to at the last minute. Chad and I decided we still wanted to go so we left on Wednesday instead of 2 days earlier on Monday. It was very exhausting but well worth it. We had a great time. Here are a few pics from the trip. The people who take the professional pics at Disneyland got the cutest pics of Lexi and Mickey Mouse kissing and Lexi and Sleeping Beauty laughing. I swear Lucas doesn't look like he weighs that much. It seems like all my friends kids look bigger than him. The nurse even said Did I take his weight down right? I was like yeah. She couldn't believe he weighed that much. Well I guess now I have my little butterball since Lexi is so dang petite.

The Best Breakfast Restaurant!

So Chad's days off this week were Monday and Tuesday. So Monday morning I woke up thinking it would be nice to go out for breakfast. I called Veronica to ask if she knew of any good breakfast places and she said The Farmhouse in downtown Gilbert. Let me just tell you it was the best breakfast EVER! So any of you that want to eat a YUMMY breakfast go check it out. By the way Lexi ate more than I have ever seen her eat. We ordered her a pancake and sausage. They came out with this cute Mickey Mouse Pancake which had whipped cream on it. I had no idea they were going to make her this fancy pancake. So cute. She ate almost the whole thing. So today Veronica and I went to Last Chance and Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall. We went to Last Chance because I had never been and can I just say I HATE that store. I think I am the only one who hates that store. Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't have both kids and it wasn't so crowded. I still think I rather pay full price then ever go back to that store again. Anyways, we then went to Fashion Square because I was selling my Louis Vuitton Purse to someone on craigslist and they wanted to make sure it was real. We had a really fun day and Veronica is the best to come with me on all these errands. We took this pic of Lucas and Chloe because Veronica only brought her single stroller so the kids both fit into one seat on my side by side double stroller. They looked so cute. Too bad them sitting next to eachother didn't last long. All in all it was a fun day.

Five Months Already?

So I guess we all have those days that dont go as smooth as we hope them to. Well today was one of those days. I was extremely tired this morning because I was up most of the night do to Chad's snoring. Church starts at 9 a.m. and we actually got there early because I wanted to try sitting in a booth instead of the far back. BIG MISTAKE! Lexi was all over the place. Life has been so crazy lately that I haven't paid much attention to the time of month or what day it is. As I looked at the calender I couldn't believe my little girl is not so little anymore and she will be turning 2 in a month! Time goes by so fast. So this week has been really crappy. I had to get surgery to remove a pilonidal cyst. It is basically located just below the top of your butt crack. It has been extremely painful but in the meantime I was able to take some more adorable pics of Luke hope you enjoy.

Yesterday Chad was off so we decided to take Lexi to Chuckie Cheese for family home evening and a little fun. She had a blast. She loved eating the yummy pizza and riding the fun rides. It was her first time riding the rides. I have taken her there before but she was just a baby so to see her so grown up made me think of how fast time goes by. I can't believe my little preemie is almost 2 and not so little anymore. I took only a couple of pics because everytime I try to take a picture of her she turns away.

Since we celebrated our anniversary on Tuesday we spent our real anniversary running errands with the kids. We then went to Serranos. Lexi loves to eat chips, salsa, and bean dip. I swear she is the only kid I know that has been eating that stuff since she got her first teeth. I think she gets it from me. My mom said she used to give me salsa when I was just a baby and I loved it. So here are a few pics of her at Serranos. The waiter even brought her her own strawberry daiquiri without us ordering her one. She loves to flirt!

So yesterday was our 3rd Anniversary but we celebrated it on Tuesday the 29th. Chad took me to an amazing restaurant at the Biltmore were he works. The name of the restaurant is Wrights. It was so much fun to get out of the house with Chad. We never get to go anywhere because he is always working. He had 8 dozen roses delivered to the house and bought me an ipod. I bet i'm the last person on earth to finally get one. Anyways, we had a nice day together.
